If I'm a member am I expect to go to everything, on time, and stay the whole time?
Nope, you're fully at choice!
We don't expect many folks to make it every time or even go to all types of events.
In fact, some prefer only The Grove, virtual. Some prefer the workshops or the community singing. Some are just here for the grief sessions.
Some people just watch the recordings and don't attend anything live at all, because of time zones or just how their brains work, and we love them, too.
There are many paths up this mountain.
About arriving late:
For song circles and workshops, it's pretty easy to have you arrive late. For Grief sessions, you'll want to arrive on time and plan to stay the whole time.
It's ideal if you arrive at the beginning of the Grove time so we can ground together first and create a sense of safety.
We prefer that you arrive on time if you're planning on going to the Grove, because of the vulnerability of shares there.
That said, there are some spaces within the Grove where it's not a big deal to arrive late. You can always arrive and the greeter will welcome you and let you know if there's a space that's fine with folks coming in after it's begun.
About staying the whole time:
The more of a ritual it is, the more we are hoping you'll stay the whole time.
For the Grove, it would be great if you can stay the whole time so people can have their offerings witnessed, and it's okay if you don't.
We 100% know that we have different capacities (energy-wise, time-wise, anxiety-wise, etc.).
Please plan to stay the whole time for Grief sessions, if at all possible.
Do I have to have a membership to take part in Stellar Village offerings?
Members get access to everything that's online in the village and are part of co-creating this work.
Non-members can also take part in some of the offerings!
- Workshops: usually open to the public for direct purchase.
- Community Singing events with guest song leaders: usually open to the public for direct purchase.
- The Grove meetups and Grief sessions: open only to members and invited guests (in person or with Zoom links if the member has a Family Pass).
How do I cancel membership?
You can cancel membership renewal at any time by going to the Billing section on your account. You'll keep access until the date that your renewal would have been charged.
If you have purchased anything directly (without a renewal) you'll keep access to those things.
You can also email us if you'd like your account to be fully deleted. Same goes if you have an account without renewal and still want it to be cancelled.
Where do I start as a new member?
The member orientation is the best spot if you're a member.
Our Grove is a wonderful intro to the community, as it has many offerings. The Grove is an excellent first choice. In the Grove, members have a certain amount of time to each share what life is like for them right now.
Feel free to email us to ask which song circles or other events might be fun for you. Another way to choose is to just do whatever live session is next! Here's the list of Upcoming events.
Can you help me select a class?
If you're eager to try out the educational offerings, one of our favorites is Aaron Johnson's Touch as a Life-Changing Technology. We're excited about his upcoming Facilitator Training.
Another is Connection We Yearn For: Conflict & Communication Fundamentals with Lux Gypsum
I'm signed up for an event/course, but I just see the sales page. How do I access it?
Seeing the sales page and price still is normal - there's one small change when you are logged in, which is a button at the top.
Please make sure you're already logged in and you're using the same email address you used to purchase the item.
If you can't find the course at all, go to the link at the top that reads "My Dashboard" and that will show you all of your courses.
If you still can't find your course, please contact our Help Desk at [email protected]
I'm signed up for a LIVE online event. Where do I go to attend?

I'm having problems playing on-demand content. What should I do?
When in doubt, try refreshing the page!
If you're having trouble following a video, change the playback speed using the cog icon on the video window. Changing playback speed lets you watch and listen more efficiently. You can also slow it down if you need more time to process or less stimulation.
Muting and volume control are on the video player and you also have a master volume on your device, but Headphones give you the best audio.
If the screen freezes or goes black, refresh your browser and try again.
If you don't see a video at all, your browser settings may be too strict. You can change your settings or use a different browser. If the video is slow, it may be your browser or network connection.
Please check that your internet browser is up to date. Stellar Village supports the latest versions of Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. Also double check that you have Javascript enabled, graphic and audio output capability and a broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 5Mbps (recommended).
Where do I find a certificate for a course or webinar I've completed?
Not all offerings have certificates, but for ones that do, they show you have completed a course.
When you fully complete all lessons in the course, certificates will be listed in your account. You can navigate there using the menu bar or here is the direct link to certificates.
How can I support this work?
This is a massive undertaking!
We essentially have the large kettle, fresh spring water, a roaring fire, and the beautiful location for the stone soup.
What we need are tasty ingredients and help cooking them, metaphorically!
- Volunteer opportunities.
- Financial energy exchange helps, too! If you have an extra $11, $44, or $222 a month, please visit our Patreon page.
- We also take any amount of donations on Paypal.
Can members go in person to hybrid events?
Not for free, usually. Members get access to all online events, so for a hybrid event, members are invited to join in Zoom.
We don't have it set up for members to be able to purchase in-person events on the website at this time.
If you want to attend the event in person, assume that you may need to register directly with the event host or donate at the event.
Are you accepting new members?
Yes, we are accepting new members at this time. More info is on the membership page.
We anticipate that there will be a time when we need to pause taking on new members or only bring in new folks by referral, but for now, it is open. Our goal is to stay open, because we are here to nourish belonging.
We have only a limited number of lifetime passes for financial supporters, which are available now on the membership page.
Does Stellar Village offer scholarships?
Yes! We want everyone who wants to be a villager to have access, so we have a sliding scale. We also offer $10 lifetime memberships to BIPOC/PGM members and an option for that to be free, as well.
We offer need-based scholarships on the honor system. For folks who need more support, all they need to do is email us to request a 6-month scholarship.
